Ygrene administers PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) funding in more than 400 communities across the United States and is the largest commercial PACE provider in California and Florida. Ygrene-financed projects have helped to create thousands of local jobs, invested over $1 billion into local economies, and led to a reduction of 644,000 M-tons in greenhouse gasses.
Why Petaluma?
PACE financing is one of the fastest growing asset-classes in the country and Ygrene has been driving much of that growth in California and Florida. The company has been on the rise since it launched in Santa Rosa in 2010, expanding to over 300 employees nationwide and financing more than $1 billion in energy-efficient projects.
By 2016, with more growth on the horizon, Ygrene realized it needed more office space and greater access to talent across the Bay Area. The company came up with several options, eventually landing on a large, remodeled office space in Petaluma. Given that Northern California continues to be a place that drives public policy on PACE, the Ygrene team jumped on the opportunity to stay—and grow–in Sonoma County.
