Who They Are & What They Do
Located in the heart of downtown Petaluma, WORK is a productive and inspiring co-working space for 21st century entrepreneurs, freelancers and telecommuters. WORK also rents conference rooms to local businesses and nonprofits for off-site retreats, client meetings and networking events. WORK is hip, modern–and growing.
Opening WORK unearthed an eclectic, highly experienced talent pool that had been hiding out in home offices around Petaluma.
By the Numbers
Since its inception in 2012, WORK has already attracted over a hundred ‘coworkers’ from dozens of different professions.
Matt Moller and Natasha Juliana moved to Petaluma with their daughter, Adeline, in 2008. The family launched WORK in 2012 to inspire like-minded entrepreneurs while providing a space for Natasha, a sustainability activist, and Matt, a software engineering exec and all-around connector, to get their own “work” done.
Today, WORK attracts a wide-range of professionals in search of autonomy and community. Some live in Petaluma and work for themselves or for companies based in other parts of the Bay Area or the country; others live in Marin County, traveling up to 30 miles to be part of WORK’s vibrant environment.
“Opening WORK unearthed an eclectic, highly experienced talent pool that had been hiding out in home offices around Petaluma,” say Matt and Natasha. “Many of these people have had successful urban careers but made a lifestyle choice to bring their families to Petaluma and pursue a more sustainable work/life balance, just like we did.”
