Fertile Ground for Making the Business of Live Events Simple

Who They Are & What They Do

Vendini designed an all-in-one system to help organizations easily promote events, take donations and leverage mobile ticketing and customer insights to deepen experiences with their audiences—and ultimately sell more tickets. Vendini has helped organizations of all kinds—from performing arts centers and live event promoters, to university sporting events and beer festivals—generating over $2 billion in ticket sales for their customers.

By the Numbers

Vendini is a private company that was founded in 2001. Its technology has been used by more than 4,000 customers to sell over $2 billion in tickets.

Why Petaluma?

An SF-based tech company serving the arts and entertainment industries, Vendini prides itself on operating with style & flair.

No surprise, then, that when, in 2015, the company decided to open a satellite office to support its Bay Area expansion plans, it sought a location that would be functional yet funky, practical yet creative.

“We wanted a presence in Sonoma County, both because of its thriving arts community and because it’s where many of our employees live,” explains Susan Hollingshead, Vendini’s Chief People Officer.  “Once that had been established, the team considered other factors—everything from cost per square foot and commutability to building aesthetics and neighborhood vibe.”

Vendini found the perfect spot at 201 1st Street, in Petaluma’s Theatre District. Constructed in 2001 and located just blocks away from the City’s transit hub, the building meets Vendini’s need for high-tech amenities in a commute-friendly locale. Yet the building’s proximity to Petaluma’s historic downtown gives it a sense of place that’s not typically found in a suburban office building.

Inside, Vendini’s design team created a “quintessential SF tech” feel with exposed ceilings and an open floor plan. The office’s 40+ employees have access to bene’s like snacks from the well-stocked kitchen, down-time in a staff meditation room, and fresh air on the patio facing the Petaluma River.

The fun continues outside. Within easy walking distance are Petaluma’s award-winning restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and tasting rooms; a movie theater, numerous art galleries, and the renowned Mystic live events center; and a wide array of shops selling clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, and—across the street at the decades-old Rivertown Feed Store—anything you need for your household pet, hobby farm, or full-scale ag business.

Says Hollingshead, “Being located in Petaluma is a secret weapon in terms of talent attraction. Employees who live in Sonoma County appreciate working close to home, while those who commute in appreciate having access to Petaluma’s amazing lifestyle. As a company, we’re very happy to be here.”
