The Petaluma Music Festival will be rocking the town on Saturday, August 4. The 11th annual festival benefits music programs in Petaluma schools. Railroad Earth and keyboardist Melvin Seals are headlining the event.

Seals, best known for his time with the Jerry Garcia Band, plays many of the songs the group featured before Garcia’s death in 1995. He spoke with the Press Democrat about the festival and his career in music, saying “if we can leave our legacies behind, the music carries on.”
