Sonoma County Economic Development Board

The Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) provides free business assistance services in the areas of market analysis, workforce, and economic studies. Get help finding space, hiring and training employees, and even marketing to potential customers.

Small Business Development Center

The Napa-Sonoma Small Business Development Center (SBDC), hosted by Napa Valley College, provides one-on-one, no-cost business advising and low cost business training to existing businesses and entrepreneurs.

Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce

The Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce seeks to enhance the quality of life of all Petalumans while sustaining our unique environment for the benefit of future generations.

Petaluma Downtown Association

The Petaluma Downtown Association promotes the Petaluma’s Historic Central Area as a retail and commercial center. It produces signature events such as Petaluma’s Butter and Eggs Day, Spring and Fall Antique Fairs, Art & Garden Festivals, as well as other events and networking opportunities.

WORK Petaluma

WORK Petaluma offers desks, conference rooms, wi-fi, printers and more for freelancers and remote workers as well as local businesses who want to meet off site. Coffee socials, networking events and workshops round out the WORK experience.

GO Local Sonoma County

GO LOCAL is a network of locally-owned businesses, residents, non-profit organizations, and government agencies working together to build a resilient, thriving, local economy by supporting local, independently owned businesses and promoting sustainable practices.

Job Link

Job Link provides job training and employment opportunities and connects employers to qualified applicants. It is a service provided by the Sonoma County Workforce Investment Board.


SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE Chapter 450 serves the North Coast of California counties Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake and Humboldt with free and confidential mentoring and low-cost workshops.

Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration offers a wide variety of business assistance services, including loans, loan guarantees, contracts, counseling sessions and information.

California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) serves as California’s single point of contact for economic development and job creation efforts. GO-Biz offers a range of services including: attraction, retention and expansion services, site selection, permit streamlining, clearing of regulatory hurdles, small business assistance, international trade development, assistance with state government, and much more.
