Petaluma food truck market “The Block” is set to open this month.

The Block will feature a rotating lineup of up to four food trucks and a permanent kitchen that will be home to Firetrail Pizza. A beer garden will feature 30 different taps, focusing on “up and coming”  breweries. More than 25 food trucks have signed on, including Petaluma-based El Roy’s Mexican Grill, which will be a permanent fixture at The Block.

Petaluma native Cody Hildreth says The Block should be ready to open in time for the Butter and Egg Days parade on April 29. Although, after inspections are completed, a soft opening may happen sooner.

“I wanted to find a way that we could bring in food trucks and yet do it in a way that North Bay and Petaluma especially would accept,” says Hildreth. “There’s just going to be all different types of food and kids can play and the adults can converse.”
