Crocodile Restaurant in Petaluma is one of the hottest restaurants in Sonoma County, according to Sonoma Magazine. The restaurant serves French comfort food. Specialties include pumpkin croquettes, cheesy Gougères, house-made charcuterie and steak frites.

“There is something elegant yet unpretentious about French cuisine,” says Moire Beveridge, who owns the restaurant with her husband. “The techniques are not obvious, and although they can be time-consuming, the results are classic and simply delicious.”

Located in the theater district, Crocodile is a great spot for a dinner and a movie date night.
