Petaluma’s Clover Stornetta Farms is changing its name. It will become Clover Sonoma.
The Bay Area’s largest dairy producer is rebranding the company and its milk cartons with a word that “evokes a sense of a positive place.” Clo the Cow, Clover’s beloved mascot, will remain on the cartons.
Clover is also changing its ownership structure into a benefit corporation, or B Corp. This indicates business whose goals include social and environmental consciousness.
The Clover Dairy brand dates back to 1916. It was started by Gene Bennedetti, grandfather of Marcus, the company’s present-day CEO.
