Amy’s

Fertile Ground for Organic Eating

Who They Are & What They Do

Amy’s is a pioneer in the organic food movement and a leading maker of high quality frozen and canned food. It is one of the few remaining U.S. companies to craft its own recipes, source its own ingredients and make its products in-house. Its offering of over 260 products includes burritos, soups, pizza, desserts, candy bars and more.

We’re perfectly situated to attract the kind of food professionals we love to have onboard at Amy’s. Plus, it’s a great place to settle down and raise a family.

By the Numbers

Each day, Amy’s production kitchens make over 70,000 meals, including 160,000 hand-rolled burritos. Amy’s makes many of its ingredients in-house, including pasta, tofu, and burrito wraps. Each day, Amy’s makes almost 10,000 pounds of tofu, just to supply their own needs, and they’re one of the largest tofu makers in North America.  Amy’s remains a privately funded and family-owned business.

Why Petaluma?

When Amy’s started in 1987, founders Andy and Rachel Berliner were settled into an old farmhouse in Petaluma and celebrating the birth of their daughter, Amy. Petaluma turned out to be ideal not only for raising a family, but also for starting and growing their natural foods business.

Andy said, “We’re perfectly situated to attract the kind of food professionals we love to have onboard at Amy’s. Plus, it’s a great place to settle down and raise a family. We have many long-time employees here at Amy’s – which helps us consistently support our vision.”

Petaluma is also an ideal hub for sourcing the organic and non-GMO ingredients Amy’s insists upon.

Over 30 years later, Amy’s is a healthy, growing business – and Andy and Rachel are still enjoying life in Petaluma and their same sweet farmhouse.
